Hiking Hong Kong Trail – Stage 4

We started at the Old Post Office on Queens Road East. By the time we got to the beginning of the trail (30mins later) we were already drenched in sweat. It was a tough walk up! The first kilometer of Lady Clementi’s Ride is one of my favorites walks.

A little solitary reading by the stream.

Humid, hot and a few rays of sunshine.

We took the wrong path by accident and ended up walking most of the way along the water catchment. We were alone apart from one couple we met at the end of the trail and it was probably more interesting then the ‘normal’ HK Stage 4 route which is an easy tarmac covered road. Around about here we saw a big snake! A BIG snake. I was too scared and too slow to take a photo as it crossed our path. From that point I seriously wished that I was wearing galoshes.

Ocean Park through a gap in the trees.
