It finally happened…

Not so lucky in Beijing.

I am known as a clumsy and generally not very careful person. I’ve dropped the camera many times before. The most memorable time up ’til now was in Mongolia’s Gobi desert straight into the sand AND down a sand dune. For a month, until I managed to get it to a Nikon servicing center, I could hear crunching sounds from the lens but I could still use it without any problems. Today, it was not so lucky. I had just bought an expensive polarizing filter on Friday (paid twice as much as I was planning to thanks to the good salesman) and now it’s gone. Not sure if the lens is working yet. Going to the Nikon service center (the same one) first thing tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed!
