We came upon this weird looking fruit during one of our evening walks at a fruit stall and bought one immediately. It has a sweet white pulp under the green skin and comes from the Graviola tree.
A bit of research and I found out that it contains copious amounts of vitamin C, B1, B2, calcium and iron and has been called a ‘miracle fruit’.
There are thousands of websites attesting to it’s ability to cure cancer and a quite a few that argue against that.
‘10000 times stronger than Chemo’.
‘Effectively target and kill malignant cells in 12 types of cancer, including colon, breast, prostate, lung and pancreatic cancer.’
Apparently, the only reason the public is relatively unaware of it is because of a cover-up orchestrated by big corporations who want to make money from a synthetic version of it.
I do not know what to think about it, but I find it fascinating that a simple search on this fruit came up with so many conspiracy theories. I love the Internet. It would be wonderful if it were true. As for the actual fruit, I liked the taste of it, sour and sweet. I will be on a lookout for it at home.
