Lantern Display at Victoria Park

It’s Mid-Autumn Festival time! Probably my favourite time around Tai Hang. So much work and lots of preparation for the event in the last week or so. Donations for Fire Dragon Dance have been collected, vouchers for t-shirts and mooncakes handed out and decorations have gone up. While walking around, you could hear people practicing nearby for Fire Dragon Dance. It does get loud. Now, every one of my neighbours and all businesses around here are waiting for the coming weekend. It will be crazy in Tai Hang!  It is a huge event around my neighbourhood. Actually, when I think about it, it feels like Christmas.. Celebrations, decorations and everyone is friendlier and happier.

Meanwhile, in Victoria Park, the lantern display has been bringing crowds every evening since Wednesday night. Last year I wasn’t too impressed with the display but, this year there are DRAGONS and Lion Dancer lanterns so obviously I love it.
