San Francisco – a walk along the shoreline

We started our shoreline walk with a breakfast of clam chowder in a bread bowl (probably a must for all first time tourists like us) at Fisherman’s Wharf.  Then we walked through the park, past Fort Mason, next to the marina, the Palace of Fine Arts, and Baker Beach. It was cold and windy but the sky was perfectly clear and amazingly blue (remember: we live in Hong Kong and these kind of clear days are rare for us).

During our walk, we were passed by hundreds of runners and cyclists. San Francisco seems to be one of the fittest cities I have ever visited. I’m not surprised by the sheer number of sports and outdoor shops anymore as it seems to be one of the two prominent styles around the city: sportswear and trendy casual. Everyone is exercising or on their way to exercise!

We finished our walk at Crissy Field with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
